The Spellbound website was designed with the primary objective of promoting the independent film release of Jeff Blitz’s 'Spellbound.' The strategy was to create a site that was as engaging as the movie through flash animation and viral applications aimed at generating word-of-mouth among kids, teachers and spelling bee enthusiasts. The site provides information on the film and filmmakers along with contextual and historical information on spelling bees and their incredibly competitive nature.
