Description
Johnsonville Fresh Italian Sausage brings family together. In fact, Mom’s Fresh Italian Sausage has kept one family so close together, her middle-aged son is still living at home. So she and Dad hatch a scheme to get him to move out.
Execution
Open on a suburban dining room. It’s dinnertime, and a 50-something couple is scooping pasta and Johnsonville coined sausage onto their plates on the dining room table. Their 38-year-old son enthusiastically runs up from his childhood bedroom. He’s still dressed like a teenager, wearing a backwards ball cap. It’s clear he’s still living at home.
Son: Whooo, smells like spaghetti with Johnsonville Italian Sausage, my favorite.
His parents give each other a look, as if they want to breach a difficult subject.
Dad: Bad news. The Johnsonville factory burned down, Brian.
Mom: It’s terrible.
His dad nods and holds up a “newspaper article” that’s clearly homemade. The headline reads: JOHNSONVILLE FACTORY BURNS DOWN, BRIAN.
Son: If you can’t serve tasty sausage, why are we even family? I… I…may as well move out.
His parents try to contain their excitement.
Mom: Well, if that’s what you feel like you have to do-
Son: (Interrupting) You’re right. I’ll stay. And tomorrow, we’ll help Johnsonville rebuild that factory. (Running upstairs) I’ll take dinner in my room! With chocolate milk!
He runs back up the stairs, jumping on the landing like a teenager would.
We transition to a beautiful pack shot of Johnsonville Fresh Italian Sausage, Meatballs
and Fresh Ground Sausage in a similar dining room environment, followed by the
Johnsonville logo and art card.
Logo: Johnsonville
VO/Super: Make pasta tastier with Johnsonville Italian Sausage. We don’t make sausage. We make family. And sausage.
