Sberbank has made a “Surprise keeper” — Google Chrome extension which helps to preserve the surprise for those who is looking online for gifts for his/her soulmate.
Execution
«Surprise keeper» is an extension, which masks the banners, which can betray you, by specially made "neutral" banners. We have created over 100 of the most banal advertising banners in history. They are divided into three themes: cosmetics, home appliances and socks. So users can choose what exactly will mask their own contextual banners.
The extension was launched on the 6th of February and was supported with a promotional video in Bank’s accounts in social networks, as well as through banner’s campaign.
Outcome
• More than a million people watched the promo video about the functionality of “Surprise Keeper”: about 600 000 on Youtube and about the same - in social networks;
• The extension has gained more than 25,000 installations in Google Chrome store for the first week before the 14th of February.
