In-store posters at dealerships were chosen to get the message out directly to new car buyers. During this stage, customers are only thinking about which new car they want and which features they’ll get. But, we wanted to get people thinking about some hard truths of car ownership too: the possibility of getting into an accident.
People who text while driving don’t even see what, or who, they’re going to hit until it’s too late. So, we created the visual equivalent of this horrifying moment as a quick, simple warning.
Outcome
Putting out this socially responsible message upholds the OTDA’s reputation as a group full of “real people” who care about the safety of their customers and the general public.
