The Boxtrolls Handmade Trailer is a montage of insight into the LAIKA experience- minds, characters, stories, and worlds are created there. This particular project we see them working on is a feature film about a young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors who tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator. A dying art, LAIKA studios is one of the two main stop motion animation production companies left in the world.

The track in our film is an adapted piece of music. We rerecorded the public domain song "He's Got the Whole World In His Hands". By altering some lyrics and honing in on whimsical instrumentation we were able to align with the mission of the piece- to ensure people's knowledge of the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into LAIKA's movies.
