Description

The Thai Health Promotion Foundation saw the importance Thais give to fortune tellers as an opportunity to educate the Thai people on the benefits of the basic health checkup. As a result, the first-ever fortune teller booth that offers basic health checkup was established. With the discovery by medical experts that we can basically check our own health by looking at our hands, face and skin condition, similar to the way fortune tellers use for reading people’s fortunes. This knowledge enables Thais to do health checkups at home and will create an initiative for them to visit the doctors.

Execution

We created a fortune teller's booth that was free of charge in order to attract even the most skeptical people. Customers were surprised when the fortune teller started reading their palms and faces, realizing this was not just a regular fortune telling session but an actual the health checkup by traditional fortune tellers that were trained by medical experts.

Outcome

Thai people who join find out about their own health, and some realize that they need to see a doctor. Moreover, this campaign has successfully raised Thai people’s awareness to pay attention to their health and do routine checkups on a regular basis.
