Featuring Shanntol Ince, from Trinidad & Tobago, the story covers how people treated her because of her disability, her refusal to be held back and becoming a swimming champion.

Shanntol is seen dreamlike in an undulating, long flowing dress, gliding through the deep blue gloom of the ocean. In real life, she finds affinity with a lone fish in a tank. We’re led through sacrifices she made as well scenes from her demanding training. At the climax of the film she enters the sea finding unison with a school of fish, calmly circling her.

A dive pool was used for Shanntol’s dream sequence with a specialist underwater cameraman and the shoal of fish at the climax were created in post-production with specialist marine CGI partners.
