Background

The National Lottery's ad "Pockets" celebrates the enduring hope and love of a couple from 1994 to the present. Centering on their connection with the iconic pink Lotto ticket, the campaign highlights the cultural bond between Lotto and its players, aiming to rekindle excitement among long-term participants. Execution

The film follows a couple that meets for the first time due to one of the men picking up a lottery ticket that has fallen out of the other one's pocket. The film takes us through their relationship and milestone life events, such as their marriage, meeting each others families, and trips, all with a lotto ticket in their back pockets. Eventually, they have a winning ticket, and one of the men is upset that he seemingly lost it. However, his husband saves the day by picking up his lottery ticket and they've finally won after years of playing the lotto.
