Description
In this film, we depict a world where great female scientists are as famous as any celebrity. We focus on Millie Dresselhaus, a pioneering nanoscience researcher who in 1990 became the first woman to win the National Medal of Science in Engineering, among other accolades. In this parallel universe, Millie is a household name. Among other things, we see the 86-year-old physicist get hounded by paparazzi, pursued by fans for a selfie, turned into an emoji, admired by other celebrities, and interviewed on a talk show. At the end, we explain that GE is helping create this world by hiring 20,000 women in science and engineering by the year 2020.
