Execution

The Mayflower Charity Foundation's primary task is to help children in poor Swedish families and to highlight the problems of child poverty in Sweden. They raise money which is used to make poor children's everyday lives better. It may for example be to help a child with money for a birthday party or a warm winter jacket.

Therefore, it is relevant to use the metaphor with reality glasses that get teachers to see the poor children and their situation at school.

Outcome

Last year (2012) there was a all time high of schools that participated in the fund raising. Since the price for a pin was increased by 100% in 2013, the goal was to maintain the number of schools that participated in the fund raising this year. The result: The number of schools that participated in the fund raising didn´t only maintain at the same level, it increased by 4%, despite a price increase of 100%!
