Description
Every year journalists suffer from brute force and restrictions while doing their jobs. The non-governmental aid organisation ‘Reporters Without Borders’ protects journalists from mistreatment and torture and advocates for boundless freedom of the press. In the spot ‘No freedom without freedom of press’ spectators witness an interview in a prison cell. A journalist questions an imprisoned farmer whose land was wrested away by militia without legal cause. But soon, the viewers realise that the journalist himself is imprisoned as well. The reporter’s notes will never reach the public. For him, as for numerous journalists in over thirty countries, freedom of press measures only two times three meters: the measurements of their prison cells.
