Description
Making breakfast with bacon is easy, but making beats with bacon? That’s a job for musician-comedian-extraordinaire Reggie Watts! His beatboxing ability sounds like actual sizzling. This gives him the uncanny ability to speak to bacon and make bacon speak to you. No need to preheat the oven, this track is already hot!
Execution
Black Label Bacon's tagline is WE'RE ALWAYS THE NEW BLACK as they're a company that's always innovating and pushing bacon forward. A part of this campaign was innovating using the delicious sounds of bacon as that instills craving in our consumers. We worked with musician-comedian-extraordinaire Reggie Watts to create a musical track and video using the sounds of bacon sizzling, spatulas scraping on a pan, bacon crunching and more. He was given a few weeks to work with the sounds and build a track, then we got together to shoot a music video. He improvised over his base track and used a looping machine so each take resulted in something different. We then worked to edit together the best visual and audio bits to create the perfect bacon symphony for maximum craveability. The set was all black as that falls in line with Black Label's style and attitude. The video and track was released on BlackLabelBacon.com where we showcase all of our bacon innovations. Reggie Watts had a full day of media interviews to help hype the track and discuss his innovative process and vision that fell in line with Black Label's innovative spirit.
