Description
We didn’t want to tell the story ourselves, we wanted the AIDS himself/herself to tell it for us. So we created a short animation, which covers the rise and fall of the evil antagonist. In the story Angry AIDS sings and dances his way through the strides that have been made in the prevention and treatment of HIV.
Execution
Due to a lack of media budget and the global relevance of the message, we decided to utilize social media platforms to spread the campaign message, mostly Facebook and Youtube. The campaign was launched as part of the International World AIDS Day – 1th of December 2016.
Outcome
So far the animation has been watched around 60,000 times in Facebook and Youtube – with zero media budget used. Feedback has been fantastic and the film still lives strong in Internet, gaining more and more audience every day.
