Description

By leveraging on the “mannequin challenge” viral video trend on social media, we created an online film that took viewers on a disturbing tour of a brothel selling sex with children.

The film showed “clients” with helpless underage sex workers frozen in time, which conveyed the key message of stopping perpetrators in their tracks to put child sexual exploitation at a standstill.

Execution

The online film was created primarily to be shared via social media channels with the key message of stopping child sexual exploitation.

The video then led viewers to an online petition at http://ngohub.asia/petition/ pushing for harsher laws for the prosecution of grooming, trafficking and sexual exploitations.

Outcome

The online film made waves on social media, garnering more than 55,000 organic views and within just 3 days, the number of petition increased significantly by as much as 25%. The campaign also earned over RM60,000 in PR value – a decent result considering the fact that we had zero media spend.
