Description
To encourage late adoption, we honor families who have adopted children who are grown ups. After the interviews, there were months of research studying the families' past before adoption. With the help of illustrators, we recreated childhood moments when parents – in which the children could not live together. We materialized in an album never photographed, a dream they would love to have lived. This was the first time that parents have seen their children's side since birth.
Execution
The first step was to find the protagonists of our story: families who adopted their children late. After the interviews, there were months of research studying the families' past before adoption. Based on photographs of the life of the parents, and without them being suspicious of anything, we invited illustrators to recreate moments of childhood in which parents and children could not live together. Thus, we materialized in an album a dream that they would love to have lived.
Outcome
Beyond the happiness that The UnPhotographed Album proposed for those families, all this emotion was spreaded quickly for all over the internet. In just 48h the video was shared more than 35.000 times, with over 1.5 million views. The social media mentions increased by an amazing 13.720%, before the media investment even started. After this, several families and NGOs from around the world contacted us, asking for their own album.
