We wanted to do something completely different to show people a totally different approach with our philosophy 'Make The Difference'. We sponsored a football team from a tiny obscure island in the gulf of Thailand, that did not even have a football field to play on. We built the team a floating pitch, supported them with training, and made a film about the lives of the players and the community they represent.

Outcome

The story and the video spread virally like wild fire, inspiring people and telling them about the TMB promise. It surpassed all anticipated expectations. 1/7th of the worlds population saw the video! It captured the attention of global media and received a significant amount of free media coverage. Even Manchester United, the world’s biggest football club, took note. Spreading the inspirational message of TMB across the globe, the brand wanted to go beyond paying sponsorship money to a team to place their logo on a jersey. We were able to demonstrate how we can Make The Difference and it truly made a difference to the Panyee FC players lives as they won the football championship of southern Thailand in 2011!!
