Description
Many people unintentionally throw away wastepaper in everyday life.
We used trash boxes (of schools and offices that consume lots of paper) as a touch point.
By utilizing wastepaper in creating posters, ‘TRASH AD’ succeeded in regenerating wastepaper into new effective media.
Execution
We conducted the ‘TRASH AD’ project.
1. We collected wastepaper from trash boxes in schools, offices and parks.
2. We neatly spread the wastepaper, and drew animals on it.
As our visual idea, we made the ruled lines on the paper to serve as a cage, to visualize how mass consumption of paper is like trapping and caging the lives of wild animals.
3. We posted the drawings to where we collected the wastepaper.
By utilizing wastepaper in creating posters, ‘TRASH AD’ succeeded in regenerating wastepaper into new effective media, also changing perceptions of the use of wastepaper.
Outcome
By utilizing wastepaper in creating posters, ‘TRASH AD’ succeeded in regenerating wastepaper into new effective media. This also changed perceptions of the use of wastepaper.
