Description
In order to illustrate the Foundation’s work in a simple and engaging way, we created a print campaign based on objects representing the trauma of victims of torture, bullying, domestic violence or prison.
These objects were chosen and prepared on the basis of testimonies from trauma victims.
The graphic transition between dark and light represents overcoming trauma and regaining a normal life thanks to the Foundation’s teaching and help.
The sober, simple black and white execution aims at maximum visual impact and at provoking thought and action from the general public.
Execution
On the basis of testimonies from victims of traumatic stress, we selected four items representing four types of trauma for which the Foundation offers help.
These items were prepared by a cinema prop professional in order to emphasize their darker side and have them carry the stigma of a painful past.
The renowned photographer Peter Lippmann then shot each item in its brand new state as well as in its darker state.
Outcome
The print campaign was published in cultural magazines and reached a large number of readers, contributing significantly to brand awareness.
Traffic on the website of the new Swiss office of the David Lynch Foundation doubled.
The representative office fielded many inquiries and received offers of partnership from other charitable organizations.
