Ladakh, a predominantly Buddhist district in the Northern Indian state of Kashmir, is a part of the Greater Himalayas where the Tibetan plateau extends into India. It is mostly high altitude desert, a lunar landscape punctuated by monasteries and Buddhist stupas. Ride Now is an online documentary about a motorcycle journey over the highest motorable road in the world, into the heart of this magical mountain land. At its highest point, on the Khardung La, the road reaches an altitude of 1805 m.Ride Now attempts to provide an interactive experience for both motorcyclists and non-motorcyclists about this truly awesome route. While the pictures are nowhere close to the actual experience itself, the site seeks to create an environment comprising adventure and exploration, all via a computer screen.

The aim of this site is to provide a desktop travelling experience for people who may be too busy with their schedules for taking time out for motorcycling and visiting amazing places. It also aims to provide information to, and inspire, other motorcyclists, adventurers and travellers who might be keen on visiting the Himalayas.
