Background

Turkish Airlines, Turkey's global brand, signed a major cooperation as the main sponsor of the Champions League. For the first time in the history of the Champions League, an airline brand became the main sponsor, while the final match was to be played in Istanbul again after 18 years. We had to create a communication that would invite football fans from all over the world to watch the grand final and discover the beauties of Istanbul at the same time.

Execution

Reunited in Istanbul after many years, Gerrard and Cafu had a solid plan and much more than 90 minutes to explore the city's beauties. We showed the duo discovering the dynamic spirit, culture and gastronomy of Istanbul. With their story, we sent a message to all football fans that they can find much more than a final in Istanbul and invited everyone to discover the beauties of this unique city.

Outcome

Our film was broadcast on 32 channels in 15 countries between May 09-June 10, 2023 and was watched by approximately 26.8 million people. It was broadcast on 6 different social media platforms and reached 117,230,415 views.
