Based on the soap´s plot, in which friends have the dream of winning the lottery, we decided to transfer this dream to real life with real people in an unusual and wishful experience. That´s when Money Rain came up. An armoured car with the TV show´s logo on, simulated the award loading followed by a group of motor scouts, drawing attention until delivering the award at a building situated on an important street of the financial centre of Rio de Janeiro, from which promoters threw money bills to an eager crowd. Over 5,000 people witnessed the Money Rain.
Outcome
Only in the metropolitan area, 2m people were reached, there were 18 live broadcastings on TV and 500 thousand social media views. In the same day, the soap´s rating points increased 23%, achieving 17 points and gaining national impact. The spontaneous media return was 5 times the invested amount.
