Description
Wrote and produced a song with Grammy award-winning songwriter Poo Bear (Jason Boyd). Using market research, we presented a variety of potential artists and eventually attached hip hop star G-Eazy to the project to provide verse vocals.
Execution
The song was played during Rousey's grand entrance to the Octogon and G-Eazy was ring-side to make sure the talent was tied into the larger idea. Ditto G-Eazy's backstage interviews which helped support the song and drive to audience. Tied into this as well were social posts from both Rousey and G-Eazy that drove impressions. The song was released to all digital and streaming platforms three weeks before the fight to build hype for the event.
Outcome
The song has drawn over 13 million social impressions, 1.1 million Instagram views, and 67k podcast downloads. In addition, the song has over 10 million streams on Spotify alone.
