Description

Creativity is the heart of these PR launches.

For each product launch, a customized storytelling was created to express the peculiarity of the watches through a real immersion in the Casio Universe. An accurate research of the locations was crucial to build an effective and engaging experience. The set-up of every single location was tailored to represent the soul of each Casio watch. The result was not only not an event intended as a transitional instant but a remarkable emotional moment that remained in people’s minds.

Execution

The journalists had the opportunity to test the technologies that characterize the Casio watches on their own, experiencing a new and immersive context that the brand got inspired from. Both for Frogman, immersed in the Y-40 pool and the race with stunts, the objective was to present the ultra resistant model G-Steel. For the first time a technology brand is active in the creation of moments of entertainment by focusing on the people and the individual products.

Within six months 4 events were planned for the launch of new Casio products. The project, in addition to the strong PR connotation, involved various social and digital channels with interactive landing page in order to strengthen the audiovisual experience. All events were unique in their genre, combining a PR event, media experience and social storytelling.

Outcome

Four events in total had more than 150 press clippings both in print and digital media. The press clippings are from fashion, lifestyle and watch industry most important magazines. The tone of voice was very original, unexpected and engaging.

Through these entertaining experiences the message was that the absolute toughness of Casio watches is not only a claim but a way of life.

The perception of journalists has changed in comparison with the classic product launch built in a linear manner. A consistent storytelling has been created with the communication codes of the various brand new special formats of press conferences. Events trimmed to suit the commercial needs of the client and its technological potential. It has set a new way of presenting the product without starting from its specific and technical characteristics, but by its very essence.
