Description

Prior to V-Raw, V Energy Drink had ZERO presence online.Our aim was to give V a genuine reason to engage and interact with 18-24yr olds in their online communities.Idea:Housed on MySpace, we created a career site/community that helps young Australians get their foot in the door. We offered over 60 REAL internships with GenY brands like Rolling Stone and Billabong. (Each intern detailed their experiences on their own MySpace page). The site also offered a mix of branded/user generated content to view and download.Results:220,000+ profile views,170,000 video views,100,000+ content downloads,11,000+ MySpace friends.V's strongest sales in 3 years.

Execution

V-Raw – The dream recruitment agency! (Managed and conceived by the media agency) Partnering with appealing Generation Y employers such as Rolling Stone, Billabong, Universal and Cosmopolitan magazine, V-Raw aimed to help young Australians get their foot in the door by offering over 60 REAL job opportunities.These are positions that are rarely advertised such as: Freelance Photographer for Rolling Stone, Junior Graphic Designer for Billabong, Music Intern for Universal Music, Fashion Assistant for Cosmopolitan Magazine.We secured the jobs and advertised them everywhere our target was, driving them to the V-Raw community housed at www.myspace.com/vraw.

Outcome

V’s strongest sales growth in 3 years, exceeding all yearly targets.ROI for V-Raw at 3x the average ROI for advertising in FMCG. Source: ‘The agencies’ Global Metrics database with 1000+ cases.V drinkers aware of V-Raw responded more positively to statements: ‘Relevant to me’–increase of 6%‘Brand for me’–increase of 11%‘Inspires me’–increase of 20%22% of those aware heard of V-Raw through friends or via MySpace/Facebook, blogs or forums.V-Raw received AUD$750,000+ in PR/Editorial exposure for V and the successful Australians who got a break through V-Raw, even reaching press in London.
