The Versa Note is the door to do more of the things you love. Amazon is the place where you buy the things you love. By offering the Versa Note on Amazon with $1,000 of goods from Amazon we were able to bring the "your door to more" campaign to life and introduce the Versa Note to potential customers in an innovative way that no other auto brand had done before.
Outcome
Hundreds of people uploaded their commercials to Vine or Instagram. Hundreds more commented on or retweeted the resulting commercials, further spreading our campaign message. Multiple media outlets picked up the story, compelled by the narrative of a major automobile brand finding innovative ways to connect to its audience.
Five million viewers saw our favorite fan-made commercials on TV. The runners-up were so great that we showcased their work across our social media channels. In the end, not only did we generate some amazing content in keeping with the campaign strategy, but breathed new life into an old commercial production process.
