Background

When the premium cell phone X80 of vivo is launched in Q2 2022, it needs to be communicated based on the core selling point "Shimmering night vision (night photography)".

Idea

We create a cute and quirky story: "Night Magic".

A black and white cat couple live on Cat Star and love each other. They like to take wedding anniversary photo every year.

However, since Cat Star lost the sun, Grandpa Black Cat is like invisible in the photo. Before golden wedding coming , he has tried all kinds of funny ways but still fail to take a clear photo.

Thanks to the vivo X80, they eventually take a super clear, super loving golden wedding photo, bringing the wishes come true by the help of humanistic technology.

Strategy

Who is the most difficult to shoot in the dark, unable to leave a record for himself? Black Cats! The invisible in the night.

We plan to launch a video on August 17th, the Global "I Love Black Cat Day", which is established to eliminate prejudice against black cats.

Thus our communication strategy is to create a story of black cats who have the real "consumer needs" of taking clear photos in the dark, and the same emotion as human, like love and hope.

Taking advantage of the popular cute cats, we can also deliver vivo's brand value of "joy of science and technology and humanity".

Execution

Full 3D modeling using Maya Software.

From character concept design, scene design, character model, 3D modeling, the rendering of hair, every shot and detail is carefully polished.
