In a world that’s become awash with online freak-outs, meltdowns, and temper tantrums over just about anything, the Volkswagen Super Bowl teaser video uses the joy of owning a Volkswagen, along with a Jimmy Cliff custom remake of The Partridge Family’s “C’mon, Get Happy” to transform negative attitudes into sunny dispositions. The stars of this spot are famous for their YouTube meltdowns, selected after researching 300 online outbursts, most notably the eHarmony "Cat Lady" who is upset about not being able to hug every cat in the world. Each is, of course, transformed and able to enjoy the Volkswagen sunny side of life.
