THE IVORY COAST IS ONE OF THE COUNTRIES WITH THE HIGHEST RATE OF ILLITERACY AMONG CHILDREN IN THE WORLD.
INSPIRIT IS AN NGO LOOKING FOR FUNDS AND VOLUNTEERS TO BUILD 5 SCHOOLS IN THE IVORY COAST. IT WAS NECESSARY TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THIS SITUATION.
Implementation
WE CREATED THE “INSPIRIT” BOOK, EDITED BY CHIADO EDITORA AND PROMOTED AS “THE MOST INSPIRING BOOK EVER”. THE BOOK WAS SOLD THROUGH THE “DESASSOSSEGO” BOOKSTORE IN LISBON.
IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT THIS PARTICULAR BOOK IS WRITTEN IN LOREM IPSUM, AN ASSORTMENT OF WORDS IN LATIN THAT MAKE NO SENSE TO THE READER. AN EXPLANATION IS GIVEN ON THE INSIDE COVER, WHERE IT READS: ‘THIS IS THE FEELING CHILDREN WHO DON’T GO TO SCHOOL HAVE WHEN THEY FLICK THROUGH A BOOK’.
Outcome
AWARENESS ABOUT THE PROBLEM OF ILLITERACY AMONG CHILDREN IN THE IVORY COAST HAS NOW BEEN RAISED, WITH LOTS OF PEOPLE LATER CONTACTING THE NGO TO FIND OUT HOW THEY COULD GET INVOVLED WITH THE PROJECT.

THE BOOK WAS PUT ON SALE AND THE MONEY RAISED WENT TOWARDS INSPIRIT.
