CampaignDescription
The true sounds of motherly love is sharing the beat of your heart with your child.
Before giving birth, the most important sound your child hears is your heartbeat. The calming nature of this ever-pounding rhythm is elemental. With a simple synchronization you can link your heartbeat with a Bluetooth speaker, and put it next to your child. We believe this is a great way of expressing what Telekom's slogan Life is for sharing stands for.
Execution
Synced heartbeats:
Using heart rate sensor for real time vital signs
Vital sign sensors are not a new thing. The question is: can you utilize them in a way that has never done before? Using the heart rate sensor of your Apple Watch we created an application that can translate your actual heart rate into audible heartbeat.
Outcome
"It is very important to a child's healthy development and the subsequent formation of mother-child relationship as well as for the calming of the baby."
Dr. Anna Altman
Child Neurologist and Pediatrician
On top of creating a great example of what Telekom means by "life is for sharing" and creating Hungary's first and one of the World's first branded Apple Watch application what we are the most proud about is the fact Shared Heartbeats really calms babies down.
The mothers who participated in the research and development stage of the „Shared Heartbeats,” all had a large decrease in anxiety stress levels and an increase in personal time, including peaceful naps between breast feeding.
Strategy
Utilizing technology in a way that can bring people closer is the main principle of Telekom’s long term vision, and one of the many manifestations of this is the Shared Heartbeats project – an initiative to recreate the link between the mother and child when they’ve got separated after birth.
Synopsis
"The start of a child’s development can seriously affect the healthy development of the child and plays a crucial role in the prevention of psychosomatic disorders"
Dr. Anna Altman
Child Neurologist and Pediatrician
The moment you give birth to your child a strong bond arises, but there’s one fundamental connection which is lost along the way – the calming sound of a mother’s heartbeat.
