For the role of survivor the cast has to be someone who can act, express and is ready to shave her head. But realistically that’s a very difficult combination to achieve. Film, with no dialogues into it, is a pure play of emotions through mere expressions. Finding a great actor is not a difficult task, but finding a great actor, who is ready to shave her head, surely is. But apart from these hurdles there one bigger block that was to be crossed. In India, even playing the role of a cancer survivor has a stigma attached to it. A lot of actors backed out because of this, in fact the last one refused just a day before the shoot. After the frenetic search at last hour, we came across the audition of our current leading lady who was not only fitting the role but also is fully open to essay the part. Because of her professional commitments she wasn't able to shave hear head though but prosthetics artists and CG people beautifully managed that.
