Overview

BriefExplanation
EntrySummary
On May 4th 2017, for the first time, Liverpool will vote for their ‘Metro Mayor’. This position will have extensive regional powers and significant investment from the government.
Women are not served by Liverpool politics. Liverpool has the highest rates of domestic violence in the UK, with a case being reported every 15 minutes. Yet it is the only metropolitan borough with no domestic violence strategy.
So, the Women’s Equality Party put forward their own candidate, Tabitha Morton, against four white men from four established political parties, to support women in the region, and in particular providing protection from violence.
This series of hard hitting posters highlight the uncomfortable truths affecting gender equality in a visceral way.
Translation
