Write a short summary of what happens in the film.
What we see in the movie is a robotic man, who explains and lets us perfectly understand the metaphor of what is lived today. As the routine takes us away from our feelings and connections with ourselves and others, as the everyday makes us more automated, it makes us repeat the same thing day after day, where we leave our feelings aside, until one goes to the cinema, that magical place where we relax, we get carried away by a story, we get involved in it, we get excited, we connect with our feelings, we connect with each other and we allow ourselves to get excited, that is the moment where we realize that the Cinema does us good and the unique experience it offers us.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
Society is increasingly trapped by routines, its increasingly busy, with more stress, with more worries, especially in Latin American countries like ours, where political, social and economic problems are the order of the day. Therefore, being able to forget about cell phones for a few hours, leaving out the problems, the worries to let us just enjoy a moment, brings us some relief and fresh air and allows us to leave room for enjoyment
Tell the jury about the production design / art direction.
The helmets and the boyd of the robots was created having in mind those robots of the 80´s. Both was in plastic taylor made for the model (yes, there´s a men inside the robot), and the lights were managed for three guys in the back of the cinema sits. The art direction, wanted to fitted perfectly with the band, the darks, and blues... the lonely of the protagonist. There was a lot of factors involved to gave to this piece that kind of sorority, that sense of loneliness.
We had a lot of care about the places were we shoot, and the lights in every frame.
It was a tremendous effort to our country economy to find this kind of incredible production finish..
Everything was filmed, and in all the scenes the actors were acting. Only the "light" when the tears enter in the helmet, was post produced.
