Movie-goers like to be captivated.
How could we cut through and make something truly interactive, realistic and different?
Using the idea behind the film – the emergence of a new country and its General – we pretended that General Aladeen had bought Yahoo!.
We blurred reality and fiction with exclusive editorials, new logo and homepage, Aladeen Search and general mischief.
It became less of a homepage takeover, more of an invasion.
10 million users reached.
700 million editorial impressions with four million video streams.
Over 83 million+ ad impressions.
Global box office gross $200m.
