In many countries around the world, sexual freedom does not exist, so homosexuality is an option that can force citizens to live outside the law, in the most appalling conditions, to suffer prison sentences or, in extreme cases, even the death penalty. Amnesty-International denounces this situation and seeks support for its cause in countries like Spain, where homosexuals enjoy full rights, on par with those which heterosexuals have always enjoyed, including marriage and adoption.
