Background
Valentines day/ month is saturated with themed promotions and commercials; How does Chicken Licken, South Africa's biggest locally owned chicken franchise, own the month? While also showing we are a proudly South African brand.
Brief and objectives were to create an engaging campaign that speaks to Chicken Licken's "Love Me Tender" burger who's mantra is in the name "love me tender".
The Chicken Licken audience loves the brand and needed to be entertained and engaged, while promoting the burger.
Execution
The real story of Saint Valentine is a bit sketchy, so in this epic film, we imagined an entire dynasty of Baba Vs (African “Amelies”), helping struggling lovers through the ages.
But with the arrival of the ama2000s (Gen Z), love became even more complicated and Baba Valentino needed a new approach... Something tender
