Firstly, no one had ever seen a solar-powered billboard before, bringing with it a novelty factor over and above the social upliftment. The copy also empowers formerly powerless South Africans.

Outcome

These boards are being rolled out across the country making their value to needy people priceless and if the piece can be rolled out across the world and turn millions of billboards into “friendly” electricity generators, we may even be able to make a dent in global warming– the major cause of which is traditional electricity consumption.
