Background
-Situation: Fast food is not always perceived as quality
-Brief: Create a piece of content that would illustrate the quality of the beans used at Tim Hortons
-Objective: The objective was to showcase the lengthy and thought out process that goes into every cup of coffee served at Tim Hortons
Execution
The ad tells the story of Tim Hortons coffee. From the harvesting of the 100% arabica beans all the way to the cup of coffee a customer receives at a Tim Hortons location. It showcases the harvesting process and the dedication and attention to detail given at a farm in Colombia. It then shows the roasting process and detail oriented inspection that takes place in Toronto at Tim Hortons roasting facility. Finally it shows the finished product- an excellent cup of coffee made with care.
Outcome
-Impact- This content was created to open new Tim Hortons locations around the world. It was translated into over 10 different languages.
-Reach-The ad was initially released in social media channels by the Tim Hortons UK team and its content was used in research when entering new markets. The goal is for the ad to go live in different markets around the world.
-Brand perception- When entering international markets as a fast food brand in the coffee space it is important to illustrate quality, considering that coffee is a very important cultural drink,.
