Description

Demonstrate how fast Delta Lloyd settles claims by sending a damaged miniature Beetle on day one, followed by a fully restored Beetle the next day.

Outcome

Even though the first mailing was sent anonymously, many insurance agents recognised Delta Lloyd as the sender. Many of them phoned the same day to ask for a new, undamaged Beetle.

This two-step direct mail resulted in increased appreciation for Delta Lloyd (many spontaneous reactions) and it dramatically increased awareness of the car insurance and its major benefit. Within (x) month premium income rose to index level 186. This brought the return on investment to 530%.
