Description
The Datsun is made to benefit buyers in India, Russia, Indonesia and South Africa. It must be warm and welcoming and also radiate reliability and seriousness. The challenge has been to combine seriousness and warmth and align it with the global ambitions of Nissan Motor Company.
Execution
We wanted to create a functional typeface with extremely high readability. The typeface is directly inspired by the design of the car. It contrasts sharp and rounded forms to both reflect the reliability of the car’s functionality and warmth of it’s rounded design.
Outcome
The Datsun has not yet been launched and we await the reactions.
