Description

We wrote and designed a book that tells the agency’s history and also showcases some of its most iconic pieces of work along with more recent projects.

Execution

A limited edition of 100 books was printed. Copies are being mailed and personally delivered to potential and current clients. The book has several different types of paper and mixed printing techniques including silk screen. They were sewn (bound) by hand for a premium finish. The art direction aims to change the perception of a traditional agency that DDB NY has into something more modern and cool. The book’s cover is made out of recycled classic DDB ads, to convey the message that we’re using our storied past to try to build something great for the future.

Outcome

The book does not ask people to take any action. Its sole purpose is to show DDB’s work philosophy. Even though it was made for DDB New York, it is now being considered to become a selling tool for the entire DDB network.
