Background

Today we can read about how the big dragons of electronics boost their prices without telling anyone, only to lower them when it´s time for a "sale", about sales that are too good to be true, how low quality products get the spotlight during ”sales” and about how "great deals" are identical to the original price, even though those colourful signs scream SALE!

Pause, one of the best HIFI stores in Sweden, has a big problem with the big dragons’ behavior. They are destroying the trust for the entire HIFI-business. Pause is small player on the market and the brief was to show that Pause has a different view on discounts and that they are on the clients’ side. In short: We needed to secure the clients trust for Pause.

Execution

In short: Pause sent cash straight into the client’s pocket. In advance.

We invented a brand new media channel. Using the well-established Swedish payment service Swish, commonly used to send money between friends, families and companies, Pause sent money to its clients in advance. Since it was actual money, you were free to do whatever you wanted with the money. Buy flowers to your home, grab a beer or get yourself a new shirt – all that was okay.

When you get money from someone, you get a notification and a message. We used this to get our message and discount across to the clients.

The campaign started on April the 6th and will continue to June 2016.
