Description

A special cooperation with Albert Heijn, the nr1. supermarket chain in the Netherlands, leading to an impactful and at the same time endearing fundraising campaign.

In all (more than 70) Albert Heijn supermarket stores in the city of Amsterdam empty bottle machines are converted to special incubators, in which custumers can directly donate their deposit money.

Execution

In more than 70 Albert Heijn supermarket stores we converted empty bottle machines to 'real' donation incubators, featuring little baby Boan (in close cooperation with his parents and the hospital's medical staff).

When customers return their empty bottles, they directly donate their deposit to help realize the new IC Neonatology dept. and support extremely early born babies like little Boan.

The campaign will run for 2 years, starting January 2018

Outcome

- In all 70 Albert Heijn supermarket stores in greater Amsterdam the empty bottle machines are converted to donation incubators.

- Monthly donations: nearly 20.000 euros have been dripping in thanks to the Amsterdam stores (approximately 480.000 euros during the two years, 1/4 of the total amount needed).

- Albert Heijn has offered to go national and convert the empty bottle machines in all 850 stores in the Netherlands!
