Snack Strong launched three major campaigns: 1. Hotel 626: A haunted Web site designed to give users the feeling of being trapped in a horror film.2. Crash the Super Bowl: A promotion that gave consumers the chance to create Super Bowl commercials and offered a $1,000,000 prize to any commercial that earned the number one spot according to a widely acclaimed Super Bowl ad poll.

3. Unlock Xbox: A program where consumers competed for the chance to have their video game concept built by a top-flight game developer and released on Xbox Live.

Outcome

Hotel 626 has been played by over 4 million users in 136 countries. Crash the Super Bowl generated the number one spot that played during the Super Bowl and led to over 1.4 billion impressions for the brand. The end result of Unlock Xbox was a game called Dash of Destruction—the most downloaded Xbox Live arcade game of all time with 3 million downloads.
