Plant for the Planet is a student initiative for climate justice. It was founded in 2007 by the then 9-year-old Felix Finkbeiner. The goal: To plant 1,000,000 trees in every country on this planet, with the support of kids around the world.The campaign aims to show the climate crisis from the kids’ point of view. If we all don’t start acting now to reduce CO2 emissions, it will be too late by the time kids turn into adults.Unfortunately, all politicians only talk rather than act. With that in mind, the campaign 'Stop talking. Start planting' made it obvious how to fight for clean air.

The campaign sensitised kids and adults about climate justice.Starting at a climate conference in Geneva 2009, the message 'Stop talking. Start planting' spread from one climate convention to the next.With supporting outdoor motifs the campaign became more and more part of each press coverage.

So far over 700,000 trees have been planted.
