Description

Globally, women are paid up to 36% less than men. This spot features a parent trying to explain this terrible statistic to their young daughter.

We start by hearing a father talking to his daughter. He is friendly and caring as he runs through a list of wonderful her wonderful traits — cute things she likes, sweet little things she does. All the while the young giggles and laughs. The father gets to the end of his list, then sighs as he points out one last thing; her name is Jessica. She’s a girl. And that’s why she’ll earn less than a boy when she grows up. We hear the sadness in the father’s voice.

A female VO tell us if we’re not comfortable explaining this situation to our daughters, we should find out more about ANZ Bank’s initiatives supporting women’s financial equality.
