Such a powerful film and message needed an original composition which could be reflective, emotive but build with energy and a sense of optimism to help inspire other men to be better in their own lives. The audience for the film is a rugby/sports crowd so it was important that the composition piece had a little bit of edge and energy but without detracting from the main emotional thread. The piece needed to match Pocock's dialogue and movements on screen, building tension, drama and some rhythmic elements.

A number of composition agencies were asked to create a piece but McAvoy's piece was loved by brand and agency. The composer was passionate about the project and was keen to get the tone just right. He had to strike a balance between the rugby star's physical strength and masculinity, his drive and sporting motivation, with the caring passionate side - in a way that would keep the target audience engaged and moved and inspired, throughout.
