Outcome

This exercise was received with a lot of enthusiasm and support from various sections of the public. People actually felt that they were involved in doing some ‘good’ for their surroundings. A large number of volunteers, mostly young people from various neighbourhoods joined up in helping to plant more saplings and increase the green cover of their areas. The media also took up this cause vigorously and urged for public support. A letter of commendation was sent to Sanctuary by the Environment Ministry congratulating them on the good work and to keep the good cause.
