On May 4th, 1979, a young man is mysteriously beamed from his living room into his favourite sci-fi classic: Future 2021! The show follows our beloved hero, the Concept EQG - a car with impossibly advanced electric technology. The world is as whimsical as it is treacherous but that's no problem for our all-alien-terrain vehicle. The film brings us into the show's camp opening credits, where we get to meet a colourful cast of intergalactic travellers, aliens and robots.

In the style of classic science fiction trailers from the 70s, the film is a reimagining of the present from the perspective of the past.

From the voiceover to sound design, everything engages with each other and is stylistically based on the era - 70s disco meets 60s B-movie meets 80s police series.

Original instruments were used for the music, such as an old Fender Precision Bass, a Moog Sub37 or a Solina Strings. The EMS Sinthi also provided some of the sound effects which fits perfectly to the music in terms of sound and harmony. The narrator intones the script exactly as he would have done back then.

And in the end, we mixed all the different audio layers to credibly reflect the different scenic film levels. Taking up the technical possibilities of that time, for example in terms of sound character, stereo panorama and spatial depth.
