The film is about the pain of separation: An eighteen-year-old daughter leaving for university, a young daughter going on her first school trip and a son moving abroad for a couple of years. Regardless of what language they speak, we witness and understand their very intimate struggles. Though all these moments hurt, we know that they won’t be forever. Sooner or later, our heroes will be reunited with their loved ones. Ultimately, we witness a newborn calf being separated from its mother. This separation is forever.
