The Toyota HiLux is an Australian icon, but with no 'new news' to talk about, our aim is to keep the truck at the top of mind for future customers. We don't have to talk about the latest specs, power or features. Our job is to simply promote the unbreakable bond between the truck and its driver. The idea celebrates the power of this brand in re-connecting friends, family, and even lovers.
Execution
In the humorous and oddly touching new Toyota HiLux campaign, the director showcases the enduring bond a separated couple have with their HiLux. The film tells the story of a couple going through a separation who discover, despite the bumps in the road, that their unbreakable connection with their truck makes it difficult to stay apart.
